I like to think of myself as raised on yoga culture. The idea of Yoga, meditation and sustainability have been part of my everyday life since I can remember. Combine this with an almost daily interaction with technology and this has created a way for me to share my creative viewpoint. I am a filmmaker, writer, director, designer and artist. I choose to use these mediums as a means of expressing yoga and what it means to me. I love to document the truth and even better, to make it beautiful.
In this Blog I will be sharing about yoga and the many beautiful ways it has manifested in my life. Yoga postures, art, raw food, philosophy and my own personal experience of deep, integrated yoga and meditation practice. Mostly I look forward to opening up a dialogue about everyday life, which is really the most important yoga practice.
I have taken part in many medicines which open the door to experiencing a greater reality and deeper understanding and connection. But I have found recently that I don’t have to seek out anything to experience a fuller life. Life in itself is medicine and daily searches us out with all kind of tests and opportunities for greater expansion. We don't even have to "do" anything, it's more about just being who we already are.
My life has become a ceremony and in that way I seek to walk it in a more and more sacred way in all that I do. I have learnt from my teachers that I am not only a spiritual being, but also an emotional, mental and physical one as well. Keeping this is mind there is much honouring to bring all those aspects into harmony.
Sometimes things have gotten hectic with balancing my daily “karma yoga” (service) as a full fledged entrepreneur, being a loving and communicative partner and friend and honouring my inner artist’s creativity. When things start to become overwhelming, I seek out ways to remind myself of the truth behind it all:
that I AM SPIRIT.
I am a yogini (woman yogi or practitioner of yoga) and I am continuously brought back to my center through daily practice of yoga and meditation. It’s a fun ride and taking time to breath, laugh and enjoy it all is an integral part and a daily reminder on this wild journey.
I love to write so I will be sharing often, and updating my new art creations regularly.
